Email Woes...

Lately I have been asked if  I'm against Email because I work with a Mobile Marketing company that emphasizes "SMS Text Marketing" as a key, emerging means of connecting and communicating with customers or team members.

Not true.

Key word here: "emphasize"

What I really emphasize is strategic combination of three things:

1. SMS Text Marketing -- this is, by far, the most direct path to your customer on their most cherished device. You HAVE to be here.

2. Direct mail -- it is very powerful to communicate offline and off the mobile device from time to time. It's an intimate connection. Remember how great good old fashioned letters made you feel? (and probably still do)

3. Email -- An obvious, awesome means of "mass communication" and a way to quickly get great content direct to someone's inbox. BUT...

And a BIG but...

#3 has some major, major issues right now. And it is THE one used the most, almost exclusively by those who struggle the most. FYI.

Email Woes...

One in every seven "opt in" emails directed to "opt in" recipients never made it to them, in the first 6-months of 2013. That's 15% NOT even getting there. At least 30% of the 85% delivered  are deleted or unread.

(Not my opinion. Source: Return Path)

The Email trend is very negative. And will not improve.

This is why I've spent the last year and a half building an extremely powerful business model that provides small business owners and entrepreneurs with a robust "Mobile List Building" system so that they don't get stuck (and burnt) relying on Email alone...

...And attached to it, one of the most lucrative Affiliate models in existence. One that pays 100% commissions on ALL front end sales. No pass up sales, no MLM, no tricky compensation plans. Simple Direct Sales. And a simple path for anyone, regardless of their background or experience, to get to $7,535 "per month" with less than 100 customers.

Are You An "Inbox Wimp"?

I just read a cool direct response marketing study about an Aquarium that was promoting it's new aquatic show to the public, and what they did was the ultimate split test from their TV commercials.
1. They asked half the viewers to go to a website to enter a contest for free VIP tickets
2. They asked the other half to text the word "fox" (the TV channel) to their mobile short code (ex: 12345)
The TV ad with the SMS Text call-to-action generated 325% more contest entries than the website call-to-action.
One word: Wow
In a world where business owners and marketers are still trying to stuff as many Email messages into someone's inbox, the truly smart business owners are swiftly shifting to a more "one-to-one" connection with their prospects and customers - SMS Text.
It's lazy and wimpy to use Email alone as a communication channel. Don't be a wimp. Anyone can send a free Email. Plus, Email deliverability rates and open rates have fallen off a cliff in the past 12-months. It's a nightmare actually. Most are too ignorant to look at the real numbers.
How about you? Are you only communicating by Email? Have you started building YOUR mobile list yet? If not, watcha waitin' for?
Here's a quick video on how to get a 50% to 100% response rate (or higher, like the Aquarium) from your marketing while the rest of the world battles for a wimpy 10% (or less) response rate. Watch It HERE
Cheers!
P.S. There is GREAT risk in thinking that SMS Text Marketing and Mobile List Building does not apply to your business. Just look around.

Mobile Marketing Can Grow Sales

How To Grow Sales With Mobile Marketing:

For marketers and companies alike, technological changes can be intimidating, and this goes for mobile marketing. However, the good news is that using mobile marketing for your business is quite easy to do once you get the hang of it.

8 Main Tools

When applying mobile marketing, there are only eight main tools that you need to learn about. These tools would be: mobile websites, mobile banner ads, SMS, mobile apps, mobile paid search, near field communications and 8, location-based marketing, and QR codes.

With the amount of potential customers that have mobile devices nowadays, not having a mobile site to market your business can cost you dearly. The importance of a mobile ready website was covered in a previous post. If you are a business who uses a web design firm or ad agency, they are probably already working on designing your mobile website. If you are a blogger or smaller business, there are many easy tips that you can read online to learn how to set up your mobile site.

Google provides a special tool that allows you to test your mobile site. This tool will help show you how your site will render on various operating systems. It will also provide tips on how you can improve on the functionality of your mobile site. This is very important because how your customers perceive your site can make a difference in potential sales.

Offer a Bonus or Reward for Your Mobile Visitors.

Try to add a fun reward on your website. Giving your mobile website visitors something that is fun and engaging will help keep people returning, as well as encouraging them to share your site with others. Remember, "shares" and "likes" are basically a currency now, for they can help bring more traffic to your site. Offering them a special mobile coupon or a mobile trivia game can do the trick.

Optimize your website using mobile specific keywords. Try to add in keywords that people will be using to search for your content. An example of this would be using location-based keywords, such as the name of a street if you are a restaurant or business that would have mobile customers driving to your door.

QR Codes are a Quick and Easy Way to Distribute Information.

Learning how to generate a QR code for your business can be incredibly important. These codes can be used to engage your customers. Right now there are code generators online that you can use by just copying and pasting your URL into the code generator.

Use your QR code as much as you can. If you do mobile marketing webinars, put it into the presentation. Give the first person to scan the code some sort of prize.

Create a QR code that has all your contact information. Put this code on your business card. This allows people who scan your card to have all your business contact information by providing them with a link to your website or blog.

If you want to be very creative, you can make a YouTube video greeting and link it to a QR code for your website. People will scan the code you provide and receive a video greeting that will ideally present with a special coupon or discount offer.

Growing your sales using mobile marketing does not have to be as intimidating as some would think. It is a great way to market your business, and to get your message out to your customers. For more information of Mobile Ready Websites - click HERE
