Be Smart, Loose Weight

It pays to be wise if you want to loose weight.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you have to be smart, as in book smart, to loose weight. However, there are some common sense ways that one should consider when it comes to losing weight or changing a diet. First off, one must evaluate the realities in of their daily life. Without making drastic changes and setting unrealistic goals, a person is far more likely to lose weight, than spending time and money on some fancy diet, exhausting workouts or those miracle pills.

A Simple Common Sense Approach to Weight Loss.

Examine your present lifestyle, eating habits, diet constituents, and physical exertions. Make a complete list of everything, sit yourself down, and go through it critically. It can be hard to be truthful with yourself, but it is for the better and will pay off! Do you have a regular routine, or one which keeps you awake at all odd times? Do you eat in front of the television or computer, and are rarely aware of what you eat? Do you eat a lot of fast food? Are you drinking too many colas or other carbonated drinks? Is your exercise routine one that is sporadic?

A “yes” answer to all or most of these questions is a sure sign that you need to get more control over your life, diet and exercise routines, if you are to benefit yourself in anyway, in attempts at weight loss.

Continue reading here for making those changes!

A Climate Change Cruise

This sounds interesting, but if you don't believe in climate change would you go? Either way it would be an interesting way to see the very northern fringes of the world. One major question I have, is how eco-friendly is the ship?

The cruise is operated by Crystal Cruises and last for 32 days. The cruise starts in Alaska, which is still an beautiful amazing place to visit, and travels through the Northwest Passage, the Beaufort Sea to the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, and concludes in New York City. Passengers would get to a chance to see an array of arctic animals and perhaps gain an understanding of how the arctic and climate are changing. Prices are stated to start at around $24,000. You can read more here.

The Power of An Apple a Day

An Apple A Day...

It has been a common saying throughout the years that an apple a day can help keep the doctor away. Well, a few new studies have shown that an apple a day can also help reduce the risk of some pretty serious health problems. Recent studies have shown that an apple a day can help battle or reduce the threat of obesity, diabetes, lung diseases, cancer, strokes, and heart attacks. The article the summed all of this up was not clear on if there are certain apples that do this, or if it is all types of apples. Apples are naturally high in sugar, some more than others, but nevertheless they are good piece of food to include in your diet. For more information, you can read the full article here.

Click Click Profit: A Review

My Review:

A couple of months ago, I received an email about Click Click Profit, and curiosity got me. This is a short review of the Click Click Profit binary options system that was created or promoted by Seth Warburton.  If you have used this program, please leave a comment below regarding your experience. I would only recommend this program if you have prior experience with FOREX and trading. I would not recommend Click Click Profit, or any of the other binary trading programs as a work at home solution. You can read my full review here.

Easy Dietary Changes for Losing Weight

Losing weight isn't rocket science, in fact it is surprisingly easy once you know how and develop some new habits. Yes, making changes to your diet can be tough at first, but with some minor adjustments and time you'll be able lose some weight and improve your over all well-being. The tips below are not extreme and some are just common sense.  Follow these healthy eating tips and you could soon get closer to your weight loss goals.

1. Eat more starchy foods - many think that starchy foods like potatoes, rice and pasta are fattening but they do actually contain fewer calories on a gram for gram basis than fat. Choose wholegrain rice and pasta, eat your potato skins (not the appetizer but the actual potato skin) and try to include something starchy in every meal. You'll feel full for longer which will help to keep you from snacking later.

2. Eat plenty of fruit and veggies - the recommendation is to eat at least five portions of fruit and veg every day but realistically speaking how many people actually do that? Even with the best of intentions many people find it easier said than done. Fruit juice can count as one portion just so long as it is 100% pure and unsweetened, apart from you can always chop a banana or sprinkle a few strawberries onto your breakfast cereal and reach for a piece of fruit for a mid morning snack instead of a cookie.

3. Eat plenty of fish - fish is good for you and is literally packed with protein, vitamins and minerals. You should try to eat fish at least twice a week with one of those being oily fish for the fantastic Omega 3 fats they provide.  There's a great choice of oily fish including salmon, trout, mackerel, fresh tuna, herring, pilchards and sardines. Frozen and canned fish does count but remember that some canned fishes have a high salt content, which leads to our next weight loss tip.

4. Cut down on the salt - even people who don't sprinkle salt over their plate can still be getting too much salt. Many soups, breakfast cereals, breads and sauces have already got lots of salt added.  Salt raises blood pressure and high blood pressure increases your chances of having a stroke or heart disease.

5. Eat breakfast -I'm sure plenty of people who want to start a diet or are dieting have heard this over and over again. Some people think that skipping breakfast will help them to lose weight, but in actual fact this is very far from the truth. Eating breakfast is actually helpful for people who want to lose a few pounds. Healthy breakfasts include whole meal cereals with a little sliced fruit and low fat milk, alternatively how about some whole wheat toast. Also try to eat something that is high in protein, like Greek yogurt or hard boiled eggs. Eating items that are high in protein for breakfast will help energize you and make your feel fuller longer!

6. Drink plenty of water - this helps to stop us from becoming dehydrated. We should drink more than a liter of fluid each day - water, fruit juices and milk all count but steer clear of sodas and fizzy drinks. When you consume water, you are not only keeping your body hydrated, but you are also helping it rinse out toxins. Water can also help you feel full. Sometimes we you feel hungry, your body is just thirsty for water. If you're bored with water, try adding some lemon or lime.

7. Cut out alcohol - if you seriously want to lose a few pounds then this is one important step - alcohol is laden with empty calories. You get no goodness from it but it sure helps to pile on the pounds. If you do want to have an alcoholic drink you should choose a glass of wine over beer every time. A glass of red wine is also said to have some other health benefits, but lately those have been questioned.

Following a few of these simple tips and guidelines really will help you to lose weight, but remember that there is no magic button to make the weight fly off. Weight loss needs to take place in a healthy safe manner and takes time. This is not a diet, it is subtle lifestyle changes which can help you to lose weight and keep it off!

Is SEO Coming to an End?

The end of SEO has been on the minds of a lot of people who work with online marketing, but is it possible for SEO to just end? Some feel that with Google changing their algorithms more frequently, the search giant is trying to get the top search results to have more meaning based on the content, "likes", and "shares".

Yes, having search results return more meaningful content is a great thing, but I don't think factoring "likes" and "shares" into the mix should play a huge role in returning an item to the first result page. Why? Well, "likes" and "shares" in my opinion have a big popularity base and problem. I do try to like and share items that are meaningful and have great informative content, but a lot of the times I think people (myself included) like or share the silly, cute, and stupid items. Perhaps this could also mean or show how society intellect is moving downward?

Is it fair the online marketers can over load posts with keywords and tricks to make sure their items ranks at the top, some would say no. I don't think SEO will just dispear or be forever done with by the internet companies. SEO will have a valid in returning search results, but the issue remains in how much weight to give SEO.

The Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 Review

Product Review – Sony HDTV XBR-55X850:

The 55-inch Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV redefines clarity and detail by offering 4x the clarity of full HD 1080 resolution, 4K X-Reality PRO, Motionflow XR-960, TRILUMINOS display technology, and a Dynamic Edge LED backlight. Its built-in Wi-Fi also expands your media content source.

How Much?
Originally, the Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV was originally available for $4,499.99, but now it has been discounted to only $2,999.99. Certain stores and website of course may offer sales, coupons, and other discounts.

Who Would Buy This?
TV viewers who put a high value on detail, clarity and color would definitely place the Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV high on their shopping list. Users who also enjoy watching videos from sites such as Netflix and Hulu Plus are also expected to line up to get their hands on this beauty.

Things We Like:

We already love the full HD 1080p display of Sony’s latest line of HDTVs. However, once converted to 4K ultra HD viewing, the picture is much sharper and clearer, and the details become more defined and accurate. Even the non-HD online content streamed directly from online sites will look HD when shown on the 55-inch LED backlit screen.

One standout feature of the Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV is the PC/Game quality you’ll get from it. There are no blurring or lagging, and the monitor certainly amps up your competitive streak, since you’ll be watching your game interface in 4K ultra high definition.

The design of this TV is also appreciated by many. It has a thin profile, so space is not a problem. There are no large or silly-looking speakers on the side bar edge, but you still get very clear and loud sound. Of course, another thing to like about the Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV is the availability of content on the media player, including demos and new movies and TV shows.

Sony also chose to give this unit an HDMI 2.0 firmware, which you can upgrade in the future. This is a sign of preparedness for future innovations and advancements in 4K ultra high definition technology, a move that does not go unacknowledged and unappreciated by users.

Things We Don’t Like:
The manual of the Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV could do with a bit of improvement. It’s not as detailed or as informative as one would expect, especially from a 250-page manual.

Guarantee?
The warranty card of the Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV is good for a period of 18 months.

Is It Worth The Money?
With the recent price cut on this product, it has become, more than ever before, worth your hard-earned money. This is one purchase you’ll never regret for a long time to come.

Final Thoughts:

When regular HD just doesn’t cut it anymore, then go 4K! The Sony HDTV XBR-55X850 4K Ultra HD TV will give you the highest – and best – HD experience you have ever seen.

Guarantee?

The limited warranty that comes with the Sony HDTV KDL55W800 covers a period of 12 months or 1 year.

Review: Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition

Product Review:

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition is a 15.6-inch ultrabook laptop that features an aerodynamic and slim cobalt design, a 1080p display, a dual-core Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400.

How Much?
Depending on what Intel Core processor you select will have an impact on the price. Those with and Intel Core i5 processor can expect a price around $1,499.99 while those units with the i7 processor will start around $1,899.99.

Who Would Buy This?
Users who appreciate the sleek and sturdy designs of Samsung will definitely buy the Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition. Those who enjoyed its previous version will find the upgraded features and enhanced capabilities preferable. Serious users who really put their notebooks or laptops to work day in and day out will also fall for this unit the moment they find out about its battery life.

Things We Like:

Samsung has done it again. As if the earlier Book 9 version is not already impressive enough, they came up with the 2014 Edition, with a few tweaks here and there. The screen is now larger by 0.6 inches, so it also happens to be the larger notebook. However, Samsung successfully kept it lighter, keeping it at only 4 lbs.

Who would not want to enjoy CD quality music in their notebook? Samsung installed the SPlayer+, a loss-less audio player exclusive to Samsung, so you can enjoy crystal clear audio. Now here’s the real winner: the battery life. Sure, Samsung had to make certain ‘downgrades’, such as dropping the resolution to 1920 x 1080 from last year’s Book 9, which boasted a 3200 x 1800 resolution. Still, we are willing to overlook that because we get 14 hours of battery life, even after an all-day computing run! This long-lasting battery life is certainly what most users are looking for, especially those who are looking for increased productivity in the use of their notebook.

Things We Don’t Like:

The resolution drop may be frowned on by some users, but we forgive it since we get longer lasting battery life. The speakers could have been bigger, though.

Guarantee:
Applicable warranty terms for the Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition have not yet been announced by Samsung as of this time.

Is It Worth The Money?

Cost-benefit analysis would clearly show that the Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition will result in a marked increase in productivity solely from its battery life. Taking that into consideration, along with the other stellar features of this notebook, makes it a very worthy investment.

Final Thoughts:

Satisfaction is definitely guaranteed with this beauty. Samsung looks to have another winner, and make sure you get a piece of the action by getting yourself the Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition.

Samsung WB35F Smart Camera Review

Product Review:
The Samsung WB35F is one of the newest members of Samsung’s WB family of smart cameras. With a 12X optical zoom, 16-Megapixel CCD sensor, Optical Image Stabilization, and NFC/Wi-Fi connectivity, users will be able to capture sharply defined and vibrant images with every shot.

How Much?
As with a lot of digital or smart cameras, the price may vary depending on where you look. Prices can range from $120.99 to $125.99. This camera is available on Amazon, so that might be a good starting point to shop and further review the item.

Who Would Buy This?
The Samsung WB35F is the perfect camera for photographers who are always on the go and want a camera that delivers stunning and non-blurry images, even from a long distance. Those who won’t settle for anything less than HD will also fall in love with the HQ quality of the video recording mode of this camera. This is also a promising choice for those who are looking for a camera with wireless connectivity without  breaking the bank.

Things We Like:
As expected from Samsung, the Samsung WB35F offers sharp detail and definition as well as color vibrancy in its captured images. But what we really liked about this model is how it allows you to enjoy long zoom capabilities without having to tote a large and bulky camera. It’s very portable and even comes in various stylish colors, so you can bring it with you anywhere.

Having the latest NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity is a definite plus in this model’s favor, and that is mainly because of its ‘Tag & Go’ feature. As the name implies, all you have to do is tag your camera with any smartphone or Android device by touching them together, then you can go on and start enjoying its user-friendly functionalities such as transferring images, backing them up automatically, and even setting up shots then sharing them. Wireless networking also provides support for remote live view, which turns your smartphone into a viewfinder that you can easily use to control the camera.

Another feature worthy of note about the Samsung WB35F is its video mode capability, which can capture HD video recordings and render them in equally high definition quality.

Is It Worth The Money?
With such great features packed into one portable and stylish package, there is no doubt that whatever price tag Samsung will attach to the Samsung WB35F is going to be worth it.

Final Thoughts:
Samsung is certainly stepping up its game when it comes to its portable cameras, and the Samsung WB35F, with its long-zoom capabilities, HD quality video, and connectivity features, is one major player you should most definitely get your hands on once it’s out.

Review: Panasonic Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush

Normal my product reviews revolve around major consumer electronics like televisions, smartphones, computers, and the such. I thought I would mix it up today by going a bit personal and review an advanced oral care product. Sure, computers and televisions are great, but haven't there been any major changes or advancements in personal or oral care?

Product Review:
The Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S is an electric toothbrush that features ionic technology in its function and design. With a fast linear motor drive, 4 brush modes and a Brush Timer, you are guaranteed thorough brushing results and a fool-proof oral care regimen.

Who does not want an electric toothbrush especially designed to remove plaque AND keep it off? Thanks to ionic technology, the Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S quickly and effectively removes plaque that has already accumulated and then proceeds to protect the surface of the teeth so any future build up of plaque is prevented.

With a linear motor drive integrated into this electric toothbrush’s overall design, we already know it works quickly. But we are thoroughly impressed at how fast the brushes work. With 31,000 brushstrokes per minute, you are guaranteed a thorough cleaning!

Sometimes it can be hard to maintain a regular or established brushing routine. That’s no longer a problem since the Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S has 4 brush modes, as well as a 2-minute brush timer that will help you out. The Brush Timer pauses once every 30 seconds, and twice every two minutes. You will also know when to recharge the toothbrush since it has its very own low battery indicator. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about the toothbrush dying on you in the middle of brushing.

Who Would Buy This?
Oral hygiene and oral care are not issues to be taken lightly. Therefore, people who are very particular about the quality of oral care they get from their toothbrushes will definitely buy the Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S. Since it is portable and comes with its own travel case, people who are always on the go will also greatly benefit from it.

How Much?
The Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S by Panasonic can range in price between $129.99 to $199.99. It all depends where you shop and if there are any sales or coupons.

Guarantee?
Panasonic provides a 2-year warranty for the Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S, with an optional extended warranty that can be purchased separately.

Is It Worth The Money?
Investing in the Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S is also a way of investing in your health – oral health, to be exact. Therefore, it goes without saying that this is definitely worth your money.

Final Thoughts:
When it comes to thorough brushing and powerful cleaning performance with oral care and health, there is no doubt that the Sonic Vibration Rechargeable Toothbrush EW-DE92-S by Panasonic is going to be the toothbrush to beat.
